India-Sri Lanka Basis holds its 37 Board Assembly in New Delhi

The thirty seventh Board Assembly of the India-Sri Lanka Basis was held in New Delhi on 27 below the co-chairmanship of Sri Lanka’s Excessive Commissioner to India Milinda Moragoda and the Excessive Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka Gopal Baglay. The Board Assembly was held in hybrid mode.

The India-Sri Lanka Basis was established on December 28, 1998 by a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Governments of India and Sri Lanka, with the target of fostering Indo-Sri Lanka relations by the enhancement of financial, scientific, academic, technical and cultural cooperation and the promotion of better understanding between the peoples of the 2 international locations.

The board members appointed by the Authorities of Sri Lanka, Ambassadors and former Secretaries to the Ministry of International Affairs Bernard Goonetilleke and H.M.G.S. Palihakkara attended the assembly nearly whereas the board member appointed by the Authorities of India, Chancellor of the Central College of Jammu Ambassador Gopalaswami Parthasarathy and the officers of the New Delhi and Colombo Secretariats of the Basis had been bodily current on the assembly together with the 2 co-chairpersons.
