DAC accorded Acce-ptance of Necessity (AoN) for procurement of subsequent technology Corv-ettes (NGC) for Indian Navy at an estimated value of Rs 36,000 crore. These NGCs shall be versatile platforms for number of roles together with surveillance missions, escort operations, deterrence, Floor Motion Group (SAG) operations, search and assault and coastal defence.
